To harness the energy generated as efficiently as possible, Schachinger relies on technology from Fronius (a total of 35 Fronius inverters are in operation at the Schachinger site). These have been perfectly adapted to the solar modules of the photovoltaic system and convert the direct current generated into alternating current. The SnapINverter system developed by Fronius not only ensures that the installation is quick and cost effective, but any commissioning and maintenance work too.

Schachinger has also opted for Fronius technology for the charging of its 30 electrically-powered forklift trucks. The innovative Selectiva devices use the new Ri charging process to provide an extremely gentle, reliable and energy-efficient charge for the traction batteries. They minimise the overcharging responsible for high energy losses and harmful warming of the battery, thereby slashing operating costs and ensuring a longer battery life, as well as guaranteeing the permanent availability of the forklift truck fleet.
